	Thursday, June 7, 2018. Wags Vs Rangers (Attendance ?) Wags and Rangers faced off for a thrilling hockey game in which Rangers got more penalties than Wags. Chris Schultz had the only Wags penalty when he got called for holding halfway through the first period. The Rangers got called for a variety of infractions. They hooked and slashed in the first period. They held in the second period and tripped in the third. Dan "Da Coach" Lopatka got Wags off to a lead with 4:34 left in period one when he scored an unassisted goal. Four minutes later Matt "The Swatter" Swastek scored to make it 2-0 with assists from Steve "G-Man" Gaul and Kevin "Smooth As" Glass. "The Swatter" Swastek made it three nothing early in the second when he scored an unassisted goal just three minutes into the second.


	Ed is happy to have his son back home and protecting the net.


	That goal woke up the Rangers, ss they scored two goals in the next 3 minutes to make it a 3 2 game. Wags got one of those back when Chris "Shot Blocker" Schultz set up Steve "G-Man" Gaul to make it 4 to 2 and Kevin The Glass man followed that with an unassisted goal to make it 5 to 2 and it looked like we were on our way to an easy win, but those pesky Rangers came back and scored four unanswered goals 3 in the second period and one in the third to give them a 6-5 lead with 12:02 left to play in the game. That lead only lasted a minute when Swastek scored again to give him a Hat Trick to tie the game at 6 to 6. Justin "Latex Salesman Vanderee got the assist. Just when it looked like we were headed to overtime Swastek swatted it in another goal with 1:47 left in the game. and "G-Man" Gaul was given an assist to give him his third point of the game. Ed "The Wall" Waghorne was busy making 21 saves while the Ranger goalie was pelted with 52 shots and 7 went in to give Wags and exciting 7-6 win. They are now five and one in the summer league. Ed "The Wall" Waghorne made 21 saves and the Ranger goalie made 45 in a very fast-paced


	hockey game. We were happy to see big Schultz throw his body in front of a slap shot to block it. Our other defenseman did a really good job of keeping shots down to a minimum although Ed did have to make a couple of breakaway saves. Next Wags game is Thursday June 15 at 8:50.
