May 28, 2015. Angry Pirates Vs. Wags Wags 8, Angry Pirates 7.
Besides dealing with Angry Pirates, Wags had to deal with angry referees. They recorded 17 goals and only awarded 1 assist and that was to the AP's 3rd goal. I sent out an e-mail plea for help and Ana DiDonna-DeMaria replied quickly to remind me that Jason helped his brother Ryan "Bara" Kuta score.I remembered my son Dan blasting an ice hugger that Roadrunner Jay redirected over the goalie's shoulder into the 3 hole. That is all I remember, so I'll have to go
with a semi-true report. It only took the
Angry Pirates 104 seconds to take a 1 goal lead when Laslo
blasted a high hard one into Ed's

4 hole. Matt "The Swatter" Swastec tied it up 2 minutes later with assists by
"I can't remember" and "I don't know". It may have been Tony The Tiger Letto, he is always on the score sheet. Half way through the first period, #17 beat Ed through the 5 hole. (#17 had a GF in the stands that was so happy to see another female at the game,
so she followed Anna everywhere. If Anna was not there, the poor girl would have
had to put up with me and my stories.) Just one minute later, Torry "Snuffy" Snick took a pass from "What's his name" and blew a one timer through the Angry goalie's 7 hole to finish the scoring in the 1st period. The second period belonged to Wags as Ed "The Wall" Waghorn closed all of his holes and watched his team score 3 goals in a 68 second span! Jay "The Roadrunner DeMaria tucked a puck in the 1 hole at 11:49 the assist went to
"it escapes me". Garry "The Inhibiter" Hibler followed Jay's goal with a blast over the Pirate's blocker as Kyle "Killer " Sandowski was screening the goalie like Andrew Shaw. Jay scored again at 10:41 when he redirected Dan "The Man" Lopatka's blast. Wags took a comfortable 5-2 lead into the third period. The Angry Pirates came out with 3 quick goals and tied the score with 8:28 left to play. Snuffy Snick got the lead back a minute later when he one timed a pass from Kevin "Smooth as" Glass. Then it happened, an incest goal was scored when John Waghorn stick handled adroitly in front of his own net and lost control of the puck. He scored an unassisted goal on his Dad! Both teams were laughing. The Laughing Pirates scored with 4:35 left in the game and it looked bad for the Wags until Jack Iandoli took a pass from Tom "t&a" Ambrosia and tied it with 11 seconds on the board. 10 seconds later, the Kutas
teamed up for the game winner with 1.8
seconds
left! The Pirate Goalie was credited with 39 saves and Ed "The Wall" Waghorn made 25 saves with several break away stops. .E-mail me to get on the Wags list:
