Some things to do on Thursday afternoon and evening.

  •

Go to the museum where you can see all the gear that Lewis and Clark took on their journey. https://mohistory.org/museum

Go to their zoo.

Ride the Arch.

See the church built out of Mosaics that has the more Mosaics than anywhere in the world.

Go to their botanical garden.

Go to the refurbished FOXX THEATER that was built in the early 1900's. You can go back stage and see dozens of autographs of stars that appeared there plus old costumes.

Amtrak Schedule:  We already have our group tickets for Amtrak:

 10:15 am - 3:00pm to St Louis (Thursday 1/18/2019)
3:00 Pm - 7:26 pm to Joliet, IL (Sunday 1/21/2019)

Click here to listen to Anvil's song  "The Goalie is Drunk"

Early Saturday Morning, we still had 8 Duffers and 2 referees left at Wild Wings.  The Referees remained neutral and chose not to vote to declare Goalie Interference on the Anvil.

We had a nice turnout at Wild Wings.

The Red team provided 90% of the party guys.

Our favorite waitress was off duty, so she partied with us.

Beak told Dana all about the great goal that Brett scored.

Duffers go Live on Facebook

(Game updates and summary can be found on the Duffers Hockey Facebook and Mini Wheezer's page)

Ed Waghorne was very good to me for Christmas.

36 years ago, 18 Duffers took a train to Lake Placid to play in the rink where the Miracle on ice gave USA a gold Medal in 1980.

History will Repeat when the Duffers have a Train Road Trip in January.

Brett talked his brother Trevor into playing with us.

Jeff's girl friend has had perfect attendance at Wild Wings.

Billy coached his alma matter to a victory before playing with the Duffers.

V-Man finally made it to Wild Wings for a free meal thanks to Greg Z. and his credit card.

Dana has turned out to be a Duffer pleaser.  She remembers what you ordered without doing the numbers! She even remembers what you ordered last week. We are so happy that she came along since we lost Sammy.

Wheezer came to lunch with his Duffer Hockey bag filled with good stuff including size 11 skates. If you know a big guy that wants to start playing...

Klinger and I helped Karen open a stubborn bottle of wine. Join us on Wednesday at the Vault on Wednesday 12/5/2018

These pictures were taken at Nicks in 2003

We will celebrate Karen's Birthday.

Lil Bill and BTW Bill had 4 of the  5 White goals.

Bret is one guy that makes it to BWW for a post game beer and laugh.

T&A made his second trip to Wild Wings.

Ken brought us a guest that helped us get 2 full lines.

Beak's great granddaughter Carmela played at the United Center.

We were given cool hats that will keep us warm.

We want to thank all of the Duffers who joined in the fun and made it possible for Carmela's team to skate on the United Center Ice.

We had time after Carmela's game to enjoy some $10 beers.

Ryan, the Duffer Referee in chief was there with his uncle. His Dad, Commander Ken, was working security.

Carmel's team beat the Admirals.

Carmela had her Dad and uncle Jeff serving as referees.

Four generations are pictured here.

It was good to see Harvey back on the ice.

Art made is first appearance and scored 2 goals.

I was waiting for my food today and an old guy in a cowboy hat came over to read my shirt. He was not a speed reader. I got tired of holding my chest out to remove the wrinkles.  There was an old guy that was leaving and he made me stop so he could read every word. He was laughing and his wife, who just finished paying the bill asked him what was so funny. He said, "You wouldn't understand."

August 18; Summer Game

August 21; Total Solar Eclipse

September 1; Muzzy passed away. He gave us more laughs than any other Duffer.

He was born on May 20, 1935.  My son Dan was born on his birthday in 1970.

We shared a lot of Muzzy pictures in the last Newsletter.

This was 1997 when we brought up Robby Granato to give the Bombers 2 Illinois ringers.  We filled most of the coach seats and avoided a fun tax.  This is the year that Muzzy shocked Hayward church goers when he came out of the church and boarded the bus with toilet paper streaming out of his pants. Read More....
