Alphabetical Duffer Nicknames

10 year ago, when we calculated the ages, The Czar mentioned cipher as a synonym for the Median number. I asked him last week what that word was and he made me feel good when he couldn't remember it either.

Then I found the following in the Duffer History page for 12/18/2010:

December 18, 2010; Meaningful Age is 54.06.  Bill BTW is the Cipher*, with 16 Duffers older than him and 16 Duffers younger than him. See the Meaningful list
*1a : zero 1 b : one that has no weight, worth, or influence : nonentity

Bill Conti is now the Cipher with 16 duffers older than him and 16 Duffers younger than him. The Mode is 49, we have 4 Duffers who are age 49

The 16 Meaningful players are displayed in red.

Thanks to the 11 following Duffers for showing up on a miserable night to give us enough guys to play a 4 on 4 game: Mike, Ken and Greg Lopatka. Ken Kroll and son, Tom Ambrosia and son, Viorel Tomasi, Dave Young, Greg Dubs, Joe Mazzarella, Anthony Antonini  and Tom Zagorski.

The Duffer History page has been updated, if you have any memorable moments that should be included, please send them to me at: g.lopatka@comcast.net

Bret's sons came home wit 2nd place medals.

We got these hats at a Blackhawk game on December 2, 2018.

Ryan, the Duffer Referee in chief was there with his uncle. His Dad, Commander Ken, was working security.

Ten year old Zoe Mazurk became the youngest Female to score in a Duffer game. Terry taught her to shoot fast.

Congratulations to Luke Lopatka and his Admiral Pee Wee team for their tournament win in Detroit. One week before Thanksgiving, Luke was in bed with pneumonia. He was able to skate one shift with his dad, uncle and grandpa on Thanksgiving with the Duffers. He had a brat cooked by Terry then headed to Detroit where his team played 4 Canadian teams going 3-1-1 to finish with the best USA team record and the Tournament Championship.

Our 13 year old referee, Carmela, was awarded the MVP in Canada.

Thanks to Terry and Dylan for cooking up some great Brats!

September 1; Muzzy passed away. He gave us more laughs than any other Duffer.

He was born on May 20, 1935.  My son Dan was born on his birthday in 1970.

We shared a lot of Muzzy pictures in the last Newsletter.

This was 1997 when we brought up Robby Granato to give the Bombers 2 Illinois ringers.  We filled most of the coach seats and avoided a fun tax.  This is the year that Muzzy shocked Hayward church goers when he came out of the church and boarded the bus with toilet paper streaming out of his pants. Read More....
