The Brain is on a Roll!

Romeoville, IL January 30, 2015  Attendance: 24

Monet Mike Beats his Uncle Dan!
Steve Hammer and Monet Mike gave the Whites an early 2-0 lead when they each scored a goal on Tweedy.  Tommy Z and Mini Wheezer scored to tie it  at 2-2. Cupcake Bobka made it Whites 3- Reds 2 with a shot that went in and out so fast that only the guys with young eyes declared it a goal.  Monet Mike set up Bill BTW early in the second period: then V-Man jumped on a rebound and restored the 2 goal lead for the Whites.  Monet Mike did an Alex Ovechkin imitation and fired a one-timer over his Uncle Dan's shoulder to give the Whites a 5-2 lead. I don't know who gave him the pass, but it was Duffer Newsworthy.  TZ scored and made it 5-3 after 2 periods.  Cupcake made it 6-3 with a break-away goal. (Tweedy saw 9 or 10 breakaways)  Joe Maz the Third cut the lead to 6-4, but Thor put the game out of reach when he banged in a 5th rebound. He stood over the Tweedy and taunted him like an NFL player. 

Harvey has been MIA

Memorable Moments:

  • The Brain took a puck to the throat in the first period that stopped play. Beak fired the rebound into his pads.

  • I passed my drivers test once the old lady tester focused the machine. The Driving test was a breeze once I charmed the attractive 30 something Mom examiner.
     

  • Goal-tending was great again with some spectacular saves by Tweedy and Brian. Tweedy sucked on his 4th rebounds. Joe Evens vowed never to play defense again.

  • I am having Detroit-Duffer Tee shirts made, if you want one, I need your size and $10. Mazurk ordered 2 for his kids. Beak's Lawyer joke got a big laugh, but Geno brought the house down with an insult to Fred as he walked out the door.

  • Papa Joe told a memorable moment from our Pittsburgh trip.  He said that the Anvil made the greatest save ever when he pinned Joe's shot against the right post with the back of his catching glove!

Detroit Trip Details:  Brinks had to drop out for medical reasons, so we added Rob Zivalich to take his place. 33 tickets are Sold  Perry had to drop out, I'm looking for a buyer for his ticket. 

Next Game is on Friday the 13th!
We may have a slim turn out. We had 22 goals on Friday the 13th in 2013.


Tweedy - Anvil

The Anvil was missing, so Tweedy answered the call.

The Brain turned another gem, stopping almost everything.
