My Great granddaughter Carmela started the new Year by playing 3 games in the United Center on January 2.

I need to make a payment for tickets to see the Redwings play Boston on February 14 then we will play in the Joe Louis Arena on February 15, 2016 at 11:00. Total cost will be $245.00 for Bus, Redwing ticket, Tee shirt, ice rental, bus beer and snacks.  You and your roommate (s) pay the room cost.  $109 plus tax includes a free breakfast.

We have room for 3 spectators on the luxury bus.

Busy Weekend in Detroit

We almost have 3 full lines and 2 goalies.  I can get 43 tickets to the Redwing/Boston game.  Bus leaves Yorktown on Saturday February 13 at 9:00 and returns Tuesday afternoon/evening February 16.

The Anvil Ends 2015 with a Win!

Romeoville, IL December 18, 2015  Attendance: 28
Hacksaw Flies in to restore dignity to the Old Guys Locker Room!

We had teenagers, young guys, old guys and we even had a DOD all having fun.  Boris, "Hacksaw" flew in from Florida to raise the average age of the old guy locker room.  He almost scored but he hit the post.  Beak was tired of hitting the goalie, so he hit the post 3 times and fired two shots wide right.  Mini Wheezer scored 2 or 3 for the Reds, while TO, Monet Mike, Jeff and Berserk clinched the win with solo goals,  Nick the Prick scored for the Whites and Cupcake fired one into the Anvil's gut that I thought went in, but it didn't until the imaginary whistle blew the play dead and the Anvil got to his feet.  For the next few weeks, Bill BTW will have to listen to his daughter tell the family how she shut him and the Whites down.  T&A sent me some things that I missed.  I know Geno set up one of MiniWheezer's

goals after he was tripped.  I came prepared for the shot of Pie Hole that T&A brought into our locker room. We had a great game. I loved having three lines and lots of fast teenagers passing the puck to me.

Here is what T&A remembered:

Reds = 9 ( 3 were Meaningful) Monet Mike (2) Two nice assists from brother Jeff.  Mini (2) Geno assisted on his first goal. Berzerk (1), Steve A, (1) (Berzerk's Guest scored with two assists, Berzerk & Monet Mike),  TO (1) with an assist from T&A, Lil Bill (1) with a two line backhanded pass from T&A, and T&A (1) with an assist to Berzerk.

 Whites = 3 meaningless goals, t&a, Nick, & Cupcake. Perfect Attendance: Beak and Fruitcake.

Sunday February 14: Morning Duffer Game in the USA rink at 10:30.  3:00ET Redwings play Bruins
Monday February 15: 11:00 AM, Duffer Game in the Joe Louis Arena,  USA U-17 Team plays USHL at 7:00ET
Tuesday February 16:  9:00 Leave for home after our free Breakfast at the Lavonia Marriott.

Julie, The Redwing traveling secretary will give us a tour of the Redwings' Locker room after our game on Monday.  She also got us a great price on our bus.  I want to giver her a gift card like Drago did last year.  I also want to tip Kim for getting us the rooms and Amber for getting us the tickets.  I need a volunteer to pick up the beer.

8:30 CT load the bus at Yorktown Mall

(enter at Highland Ave and Majestic Drive)

3:00:  Arrive at the Lavonia Marriott (All times are Eastern Time)

6:00: Depart Marriott to watch USA U-17 team play the Russians at 7:00 at the USA Rink in Plymouth.

10:00 Bus departs rink to go back to the Marriott.  

 

Sunday, February 14

8:00 Free Marriott Breakfast

9:00 Depart for the 10:30 Duffer game at the USA Rink

12:15 Lunch at USA Rink

1:30 Depart for the 3:00 Redwing game at the Joe Louis Arena.

7:00 Depart the “Joe” to Return to the Marriott

 

Monday, February 15 

8:00 Free Breakfast

9:00 Depart for the 11:00 Duffer game in the Joe Louis Arena.

1:00 Tour of the Redwing Locker room

2:00 Depart to return to the Marriott

6:00 Depart for the USA rink to watch USHL All Stars play USA at 7:00

Detroit Bus Driver Itinerary

We have permission to leave cars in the Northwest area of the Yorktown Mall in the parking lot of a closed restaurant. close to McDonalds. Your Driver should enter the Yorktown Mall drive at Highland Ave and Majestic Drive.  I will send a map with an X marking the spot.

Saturday, February 13

If weather is good, we should arrive at the Lavonia Marriott around 3:00 ET 

We want to go watch the USA team play the Russians at 7:00 ET at the USA Rink in Plymouth.

(5 miles from the Marriott) We will have a ticket for the driver if he would like to watch with us. The game should end by 9:30.  He can take us back to the Marriott then.  

Sunday, February 14

We will play a game at the USA Rink in Plymouth. We should leave the Marriott at 9:00 for a 10:30 game. We will be done by 12:00 and have lunch there until it is time to go to the 3:00 Redwing game at the Joe Louis Arena. We should leave for the game by 1:30. Your Driver is welcome to have lunch with us. (We will buy)

After the Redwing game, he can return us to the Marriott and He will be finished for the day.

If our Driver wants to go to the Redwing game, I can get him a ticket. (Our Treat) I will be ordering tickets on January 14.  

Monday, February 15 

We will play in the Joe Louis Arena at 11:00. We should leave the Marriott by 9:00 ET

We will play until 12:30 and get a tour of the Redwing Locker room after we shower, so we won't be ready to leave there until 2:00.  We can return to the Marriott then.

USA plays  the USHL All Stars in Plymouth at 7:00. We should leave for the game by 6:00.  The game should end by 9:30.  He can take us back to the Marriott then.  

 

Tuesday, February 16

Leave the Marriott at 9:00 for Yorktown Mall.
