Ben Oskroba's autographed game jersey was sold for $525 after the game.

 

Brian Kraft's daughter Amber and her team won their pacific district regional tournament yesterday in Anaheim. They now advance to the US national tournament which starts on March 6 in Troy Michigan. Amber set up the first goal of the championship game as the team went on to win 3-1. Amber is on the top left of this photo.

The Bear Bites the Reds!

Romeoville, IL March 3, 2017  Attendance: 24
We had 2 full lines plus one! 22 skaters showed up after  Beak posted some faces on  Milk Cartons.  Thanks to Barron and The Commander for bringing a few guests! Ryan DeGuest had 3 Klinger Crashes, too bad that he is not a member, because he would be in the running for the Klinger Krash Award.  His first crash came when he crashed into Fruitcake and both of them went down.  The Czar helped Fred up and he was fine. His second crash was unassisted in the corner when he went down in a heap. Fred was near the scene and might have been sent to the sin bin by a whistle happy referee, but our reffs do not have a permits to carry whistles.  Ryan De Guest's 3rd crash was award worthy.  He came in all alone on the Anvil and started a spin-a-rama. Eddie The Mad Russian would have none of that so he smashed him to the ice while he was half way through his spin.  . Reds got 2 early goals form Greg the guest and

Beak's gifts kept coming!

Greg the Beak and The Anvil was perfect to give The Reds a 2-0 lead going into the 2nd Period.  The Whites put 5 on the board with solo goals by V-man, Bill BTW, Commander Ken,  John "UU" Schuuman and Terry while the Bear was perfect to give the Whites a 5-2 lead after 2.  The Reds came back with 2 goals by Monet Mike, 1 assist to Fred and 1 assist to Beak for distracting John UU on the Faceoff by chatting him up.  Magoo tipped in a Monet blast and Rob Z added a late goal, but the Whites got goals from the Czar and Bill the Commander's guest.  Barron picked up the thrilling 7-6 win with some great saves

Peoria Road Trip

Beak, Mini Wheezer, Uncle Bob and John Koss went down to Peoria to watch (SOD) Ben Oskroba and the Rivermen win 3 games.  Beak got his Jersey autographed by Ben Oskroba, Denis Sevard and several other Duffer legends.  He then presented it to Jill Stotz, the owner of Darling's Dine and Draft.  It will hang there in honor with other priceless "Sports Memorabilia."

When I arrived at the rink, Monet Mike's wonderful wife was waiting for me with birthday gifts and hand made cards from my great grandchildren.

Uncle Bob gives a better view of the autographs. The stick of Duffer Bear is pointing to a space between the autographs of Ben Oskroba and Denis Sevard.

I donated my Duffers Hockey jersey to Jill Stotz to hang on the wall in her bar. She was thrilled especially after Hall of Fammer Denis Sevard and Ben Oskroba added their signatures to mine and the many other not so famous signatures. The jersey will be on display at Darling's Dine & Draft at 4450 N. Prospect Suite S1, Peoria Heights, Illinois 61616

Denis Sevard signed my Duffer Jersey.

We went to the Berger Barge and had $2 bloody Marys that Mini Wheezer fixed for us. I felt like I was on a Duffer Bus trip.

When you beat the same team 3 days in a row.....

Tempers are going to be short with 2 minutes left in the game.

Harvey came to lunch and made it to hockey on Friday.

Jill was thrilled with the Duffer Jersey.
