Duffers Get 2 Lines!

Romeoville, IL April 7, 2017  Attendance: 26
Last week, we needed to draft a 9 year old just to get us enough players to have a 4 on 4 game. It was great that 9 year old Christian Barron scored a goal in his first Duffer game, but my 77 year old legs told me to take a break.  My wife and I had a great time in Milwaukee watching the Cubs win 2 games. I was pleased to see that we doubled attendance from 13 to 26! Let's do it again and again. We only have 3 games left in the 2016-17 season.  Thanks to T&A for sending the following report:

24 skaters and 2 goalies (Barron wore red and the guest goalie Bruce was on the White Team)
White Goals = Bill BTW - 2 (Assists to Lillia and Tommy Z), Tommy Z - 2,

Congratulations to Duffer GOD Amber Kraft

Terry - 1, Dylan - 1, Brian - 1, & John Schuurman - 1.
Red Goals = Jeff - 3, T&A -3, Monet Mike - 1, & Steve (Guest) - 1

Reds were down 8-6 with two minutes left, then T&A scored on a rebound. We pulled Bear with a minute left and Speed Racer Jeff scored with 10 seconds left to tie the game.
Reds 8 & Whites 8 Almost everybody went home with a smile.

Why did Beak go all the way to Milwaukee to watch the Cubs?

  • They parked in front of the gate for $15.
  • Great tickets were only $32
  • They got to Boo Ryan Braun along with 20,000 Cub fans in his own park.
  • We got to Milwaukee in 90 minutes.
    •

  • My Prius burned 4.5 gallons of gas getting them there and back.
  • A giant brat was only $5.75
    •

Brewer Fan deals with a Cub win.

My wife and I had fun in Milwaukee.

I would have stayed for the Friday Duffer game if I knew we would have had 2 lines.

The Morton Arboretum is starting to bloom.

 

Congratulations to Duffer GOD, Amber Kraft's National Champion team.

Amber is the granddaughter of Wally Kraft who was one of the founding fathers of the Duffers. Amber and her dad Brian are pictured above.
