This week we have 2 games posted thanks to Commander Ken and T&A while Beak was away in the desert.

Beak and Muzzy's daughter Paula shared beers and stories about her Dad as they watched the Cubs win 2 games.  Paula raised the W flag after the game. WGN TV showed them at the game and on the WGN News.

Beak's wife called him as soon as she saw this on TV.

6 years ago, when Ryan Dzingel just turned 20 years old, He skated with us when we went to Columbus. Ryan is now 26 years old and he scored his 22nd and 23rd goals on the last day of the season.  That tied him for the most goals for the Ottawa Senators.  Click on the pictures below to watch the videos of his goals.

Beak Misses 2 Games!

Romeoville, IL March 23, 2018  Attendance: ?

Commander Ken's notes and memory from Friday. 
I would say this is 90% - I think I mentally recorded all the goals.
White 5 - Red 2 final.   Whites - Hammer Two goals, Greg Zerkis two goals, Mike Czar one goal.   Reds - Tom O'Connor and Tommy Z each with a goal. 

The whites were saved by Circus acrobatic goaltending from Guest Jim McGlynn. He saw A LOT of shots!  Reds were up 2-0 after two periods, but Lilia Louis then moved up to forward and she was the catalyst of a comeback.   

We had some good ole time hockey Eddie Shore physical play from Zerkis and TA that ultimately was nothing but an avenue to a can of beer.

Commander Ken saved the day when his friend Jim stepped in to play goalie !

The Whites trailed 2-0 going into the 3rd when Player/Coach BBTW moved his Defense Partner & daughter, Lilia to offense. He moved the Czar from forward to defense.

Muzzy's Daughter Paula and I celebrated a Cub win by flying the W

Lilia's offensive speed was the difference for the Whites who scored 5 unanswered goals in the 3rd.

We had Eddie and 8 other Duffers at BWW.

Memorable Moments: 
Beak missed his first game this year, so Brian is the only one to have Perfect attendance at the rink and at the bar, Brian needs to stay perfect for 4 more games to become the 5th recipient of the Award. Only Tim, 2006,  Stump 2009, Mini Wheezer 2010 and Beak 2011, have their names on the plaque.  Fred "Fruitcake" Bobka has had "Imperfect Attendance" several times where he showed up for every game, but missed every chance to go to the bar.
   

I started my vacation with a trip to the United Center.  Coach Granato arranged for my Daughter's Special Ed. Students to watch the Blackhawks practice.  Patrick Sharp photo bombed my Kathie's picture when he spotted her Sharp jersey. (Right)
 

After watching 2 Cub wins, we went to Southern California to visit Joshua Tree National park as the Cubs went to Miami.

The Moon was out early.  We had a Blue Moon on Saturday.

Joshua Tree National Park is a favorite place for rock climbers.

September 1; Muzzy passed away. He gave us more laughs than any other Duffer.

He was born on May 20, 1935.  My son Dan was born on his birthday in 1970. 

We shared a lot of Muzzy pictures in the last Newsletter.

This was 1997 when we brought up Robby Granato to give the Bombers 2 Illinois ringers.  We filled most of the coach seats and avoided a fun tax.  This is the year that Muzzy shocked Hayward church goers when he came out of the church and boarded the bus with toilet paper streaming out of his pants. Read More....
