Klinger and Knarf Hammer "The Anvil"!
Hitman, Alien and Harvey scored goals for the Blues to give them a seemingly insurmountable meaningful lead as only Thor could get one past the Anvil for the Whites. Those 3 meaningful goals added to Roger Dodger’s 2 meaningless goals gave the Blues a 5-4 lead. Ken Lopatka had 3 for the Whites. Frank, the ultimate stay at home defenseman, shocked every one with a wrist shot from the Blue line that missed everything but the lower left corner to tie the meaningless score at 5 and pulled the Whites to within one of a meaningful tie. With 1 minute to play, Frank retired to the locker room, never dreaming that his defensive partner, Bill “Klinger” Giffune would score. Bill rushed the net and hammered a rebound past Eddie to give the Whites and the Ghost a 6-5 Meaningless win. Koss had a new name for Beak, when he was toppled twice and stripped of the puck. Beak dropped him like a tree and was called Chainsaw. What a sharp line, Hacksaw, Chainsaw and Thor.

article gives the details to those readers who care enough to read on.
The original headline was "Brinks hammers the Ghost", but that congers
an image of nothing happening. Did you ever see a ghost get hit by a hammer?
*Eddie is a little touchy ever since Beak accused him of cheating

Call the Beak cell phone if you have a problem. I'll have it on, honest! Art, the Peoria Duffer in Chief, will provide
us with 2 goalies and 8 or 10 skaters.
