The First edition of the Detroit Music DVD has sold out.  I'm taking orders for the second edition.

Our Summer Fun started shortly after our final game. We had a wonderful time celebrating with Dr. Emily Hawrysio.

Bill By The Way arrived after this picture was taken. We met the Anvil's brother who wants to go to Detroit.

Later that night.....

What a great night for Chicago, the Cub game was delayed for 2 hours, so the fans got to watch the Blackhawks win game five of the Stanley Cup finals and take a 3-2 lead.  When the rain stopped, they got to see Starlin Castro get a walk off hit to beat the Reds 4-3. More Party Pictures

On June 27th we had the Duffer picnic at the Brinks residence.

We celebrated Beak and Carole's 54th Wedding Anniversary.

Thanks to the Commander and Stevie Wonder, we didn't have to haul the Duffer Grill up the steep hill.

Boris asks Thor, "Why didn't you tell me that we had a light weight grill, I would have been here sooner."

The kids went swimming and talked to the swans.

Tweedy gets a thumbs up from his daughter Audrey for the Hot Dog.

Steve gives Terry a one handed explanation of how to cook.

Thor checks out his messages on his flip phone. Tweedy is bemused.

Thor represented Brinks in the Duffer septuagenarian picture.

The Czar was hawking Duffer banners.  He has a few left, give him a call.

T&A was not present to accept the Klinger Krash Award, so Bill BTW did the honors and gave an acceptance speech for T&A.

Rags was not present when we tried to present him with the Next Generation Meaningless Award, so Bill filled in for him.

Doc's Daughter helped beak with his award presentations. Fruit Cake was not present to receive his Imperfect Attendance Award.  He never missed a game, but never made it to the post game fun at the bar. The Tim Smith Award requires full participation in the Duffer experience.

We had a Shark Attack.

(Right) See what you miss when you don't go to the bar.

A big Thank You to Natalie and Don for hosting the Duffer Picnic! We all had a great time!

Thanks to Photo Shop, Rags was able to accept his award.

T&A smashed his kidney into the cross bar in Detroit to get this.

The Magnificent Seven Duffers won a lot of Prizes at the August 22 Golf outing.

Klinger presented Tom with the Klinger Krash award for his spectacular crash in Detroit.

More Summer Fun Photos

We all cheered as the Hawks won their 3rd Stanley Cup in 5 years.  Lee Ann painted her garage as she was organizing a co-ed hockey game to raise funds to cure the Parkinson's disease.

Doc, Beak and his grandson Monet Mike played in the game and had a great time. Beak and his granddaughter Carmela were picked to shoot the puck and they both took home prizes.   Beak scored in an unusual way. (He hit the post and the puck turned and squirted in the net)

Two days after the game, Beak's wife Carole got a new knee.

Carole was cheered up buy a visit from the Tweedy clan.

We all got a close up look at Pluto while Beak was reaping the benefits of the rainiest June in Illinois history.  He harvested 78 cucumbers that weighed in at 76 pounds.  173 tomatoes weighed 54 pounds.  149 cherry tomatoes were picked by September 1st.

He had a couple of mutant tomatoes, this one had a nice beak.

This mutant was named Pinocchio.

This tomato plant sprung up from a crack in my patio.

Mom and Dad eat first while junior waits on the roof.

Greg Z had a fun summer at Wrigley where he made a one hand catch to save his wife from harm.  (That is a semi-true story developed from looking at the picture)  He visited a wine cellar and tasted every bottle.  (Another semi-true story) He and his family went out west and posted many beautiful photos on Facebook.  (That part is true)  Send me your summer fun pictures and I will share them.

My sister came to visit so I took her to see the Lego creations at the Morton Arboretum.

I got called to do some teacher training for the GLOBE program, I was a little rusty, but it felt good to get back into teaching.

My student tossed the bucket out and collected a water sample that we tested. We measured the turbidity of three samples.

Here she checks the conductivity of the water sample.  We also checked the PH and temperature.

We had a great time at the Holy Trinity Golf outing.

Donny Granato filled in for Geno who got drafted to stay home.

My granddaughter Michelle turned 21 in late August.

We celebrated at Rock Bottom.

Tweedy helped Wags win another Summer League Championship.
