#289 DUFFER NEWS
|
November 2nd Beer nuts was quick to complain that the Blues only had 5 meaningful players, but then again, Beer-Nuts is quick to complain about everything. He even complains that his name doesn’t appear in the Duffer News more often. He knows all he has to do to get his name in the Duffer News is pour Beak a beer at Platos, but he complained about that because it cost him $15.00 to go to Platos, he even complained about the chicken wings! (Yea, the ones Klinger loves.) The Peace making King made a suggestion that we move to Bono's so that the cost of getting your name in the Duffer News could be reduced. Now you can buy Beak a beer for only $3.00. My son liked the new place because he and his sons ate and drank for under $7.00. It cost me $23 for a Beef Combo and a round of beers. Thanks to Tom Morgan
for a great article last week, but he couldn't make it 2 weeks in a row,
as he broke his toe at home on a slippery floor. His wife told him to be
careful because the floor was just waxed. Tom said, "Who are you
talking to? I'm a hockey player." Then he slipped and broke
his toe. That story is hard to believe. Here is what I think
happened. Tommy went home last week after scoring and tried to celebrate
with a swan dive off of the dresser, and he didn't heed the warning from
the Duffer Advisor, published in a 1980s Duffer news.
New Orleans Roadtrip We can start by having a nice turn out in Peoria. Jason, the President and the owners have been asking for us. It looks like we have more than 10 players to go to Peoria on Saturday November 17. We will play on Saturday afternoon, then watch the Rivermen on Saturday Night, we can also see a Sunday afternoon game on the 18th. If you are not sure that you want to go to Peoria, just pop the Duffer CD II into your CD-ROM drive and watch the Peoria slide and music show, you will sign up for a trip as soon as you finish. We need a better show than last time. lopatka@ix.netcom.com Remember, all games start at
8:00!
Rich Storm found out that the
kids at Beaks camp used to think he was Ray Rayner. They called Beak,
Ray-Ray.
