	September 14, 2017. Wags Vs Hoppy Sticks (Attendance 7.5) Ed Waghorne may have exceeded the salary cap while building this team. I don't know what he was offering, but I saw guys lining up in the lobby with their credit cards to make sure they had a spot on this team. Last Sunday, they lost the opener with less than 2 lines. This week they had 3 full lines Jack "The Ripper" Iandoli and his friend were healthy scratches. The first 5 minutes of the game were dominated by the Wags players, The Hoppy Sticks had a hard time getting out of the zone and when they did, a wave of Wags attackers came racing into the zone. At 11:41, a speedy guy wearing #19 took a pass from Eric "Swatter's Brother" Swastek and scored a goal. I thought he was too fast to be Kevin "Smooth as" Glass, but it was him! One minute later, Dan "Da Coach" Lopatka took a turnover and showed some of his college moves to make 2 defenders look silly. He blew by them to give wags a 2-0 lead. "M&M"Mike's brother Joe


	Dan Lopaka used a few of his River Falls moves to score goal 2.


	Matker made it 3-0 with 8:30 left to play in period one. "Angelic" Alex D'Angelo picked up his first Wags Assist. Ed "The Wall" Waghorne had his shutout spoiled a minute later, but a speedy guy with #21 on his back got that goal back at 4:20 with an unassisted goal. I thought, Wow, Road Runner got faster, but it was Alex "The Car" Carson who flashed that speed. With 21 on his back. Jay was AWOL again, so Carson took his jersey. Brad "Speargun" Murphy and the Angel added goals in the final minute. TZ got his first of 2 assists on Angel's goal. Thirteen seconds into the 2nd period, Joe "Bro" Matker made it 7-1 with his second goal. Ed gave up his second goal at 10:35, but Tom "TZ" Zagorski answered that a minute later with an assist from the Angel. The Sticks scored to make it 8-3 with 5 minutes left in the second period. That was it, Waghorne shut them out for the rest of the game as the Wags forwards added 3 more goals to give them an 11-3 win.


	Eric "Bro" Swastek scored his first Wags goal and was assisted by Carman Carson. Tommy Z and Carson scored their second goals to cap off the scoring in the final 5 minutes. Wags put 47 shots on the Hoppy Sticks goalie.
