and fired it past the startled goalie to give The Wags their first lead of the game at 6:16.  That lead only lasted 13 seconds when the Seals scored a pair to go up 4-3 with 4:48 left to play.  Six seconds later, Conway and Rancic teamed up again to tie the game with a goal by Conway.   Rancic scored an unassisted goal to give us the lead at 4:05.  Rancic ended the scoring spree with a goal that took the life out of the Seals when he took a pass from Conway and muscled his way into the slot and fired a shot that handcuffed the goalie to make the score Wags 6, Blazing Seals 4.  The scoring slowed down in the second period and the Seals tied it at 6-6 with goals at 11:12 and 3:04. Robert Hall  scored the only goal of the period when he picked off a pass and tallied an unassisted goal with 1:15 left in period number two.  That goal ended a 14 minute 47 second scoring drought and turned out to be the game winner as Ed "The Wall" Waghorn turned away all 10 shots that the Seals fired at him.  Conway scored an insurance goal half way through the period and Gary "The Inhibiter" Hibbler put the game out of reach when he took a pass from Charlie "Do Gooder" Dodero   and buried it to give the Wags a 9-6 win over a team that has dominated them in the past. Chris "Muffler Man" Schultz proved to be the Good Hands Man when he used his hyperactive stick to frustrate the fancy stick-handling Seals. Tony "The Tiger" Letto out hustled the much younger players and sent them home shaking their heads and looking for a joint.. 

When I passed the Blazing Seal's locker room, I got whiff of how they got their name.
