• Las Vegas 1st Official Notice
  
  The preliminary (for sure) info is this. We will be leaving Thursday Jan
  30, 2003 from Midway at 8am - arriving Las Vegas 10am. We will be returning
  Sunday Feb 2, 2003 departing Las Vegas 12:30pm - arriving O'Hare 6pm.
  The reason for the Midway departure O'Hare return is to give us a full
  day on Thursday and a decent arrival time home on Sunday.
  
  Our stay will be at the Santa Fe Station Hotel-Casino. This hotel is located
  north of the hotbed so-called Las Vegas Strip. It has a hockey rink as
  part of the hotel. We will be skating Friday & Saturday.
  
  The cost of the trip will come in around $600. This will include airfare,
  hotel, ice time, and more. 1st payment of $100 is due now, 2nd payment
  of $400 is due before Christmas and the balance will be due upon return
  from the trip.
  
  This is the first official notice. Subsequent notices and itinerary updates
  will be dated and numbered to eliminate confusion. If you have any questions do not - I repeat - do not ask Beak. All inquires are to be directed to the Duffer Bear at the following:

New goalie, Kevin Devine*, had a great first period as he held the Reds to 1 goal while his team mates scored 5 goals on a rusty Stump.  Beak gave the Whites a meaningful lead when his son Ken stripped Tommy Z of the puck as he tried to rush out of the zone.  The Puck went right to Beak who was all alone in front of Stump's net.  Beak fired a back-hander that bounced off of the near post and landed in the net.  Ken later stripped Papa Joe when he tried to rush the puck in front of his goalie and Doc picked up a goal.  Ken was apologetic when he found out it was Papa Joe that he hindered.  He just assumed that it was Tommy Z that was making that daring rush in front of his own goalie.  Hitman scored a Meaningful goal to save the day for Stump and the Reds.  That goal ignited the meaningless Reds as they lit up the rookie goalie for 10 goals to down the Whites 11 to 9. *Kevin read about the Duffers in the Downers Grove Sun  and e-mailed Beak with his desire to play with the Duffers. Jimmy Buffett put on a great show for the Duffers on Thursday, June 20 as Knarf, Beak, Klinger and Rich Storm sang the night away.  Two days later, Beavis, Stump and

Tommy Z joined in the fun as they all tried to be the last man standing.  Thanks to Knarf's daughter Suzanne and husband Paul for hosting the annual Jimmy Buffett party.  Way to Go Tony! Tony is now the assistant coach of the Colorado Rockies.  Road Trip?

Beak and Beavis had their cool hats on.

Stump brought a cooler of Coconut rum and pineapple juice. It felt like a warm Thanksgiving.
