McNeil set up Carson's goal at the 2:47 mark.  22 seconds later, Jay made it 3-1 with assists from McNeil and John "Whacker" Waghorn.  By the time we finished celebrating our 2 goal lead, the score was tied in the next 2 minutes with goals by Chrissie and Alderman Kean. Carson teamed up with Jay in the first 30 seconds of the second period to regain the lead, but that lead only lasted a minute.  The BD Bandits took the lead with 2 quick goals by Boy George and Kean.  Tony roofed a shot that went in and out of the net, but the referee with the coke bottle glasses didn't see it, so he waved it off. Matt "The Swatter" Swastek tied the score with an assist from Kevin Smooth as Glass with 5:50 left in the second period. Half way through the final stanza, McNeil scored the game winner when he gave us the lead with an unassisted goal. (There may have been an assist or two, but the referee had a vision problem) John Waghorn Made it 7-5 with 6:10 left to play.  Roadrunner and McNeil picked up the saves.  Each team had one harmless tripping penalty. Ed "The Wall" Waghorn came up with 29 stellar saves. "Uncle Dan" Lopatka, Tony "The Tiger" Letto and John "Whacker" Waghorn played great defense all night and held the Backdoor Bandits scoreless in the third period.  Anna did a nice job distracting Bandits with her attractive summer attire.  I saw them looking up into the stands several times and I'm pretty sure that they were not looking at me.
