September 17, 2012,
Seals Vs. Wags at Center Ice The first period featured some fast paced chippy action that went scoreless until Chris "Mad Man"
Murzyn converted a pass from "Killer" Kyle Sandowski and beat the goalie with 7:46 left in the period. That lead only lasted one minute and 3 seconds when the Seals scored a power play goal and tied the score. The hooking offender, who shall remain nameless, only

had to sit in the Sin Bin for 9 seconds. (I didn't name him because his name was scribbled on the score sheet and I have no clue who number 16 was) Dan Lopatka set up Killer Kyle who got the lead back with 2:51 left in the period. Thirty seconds later, Jay "Road Runner" DeMaria gave Wags a 3-1 lead on a beautiful pass from Tony "The Tiger" Letto. With only 18 seconds left in the first period, Murphy was called for holding. This time the Wags penalty killers did a better job, but the Seals scored another power play goal 70 seconds into the penalty. The Seals went on to tie the game late in the second period. The score remained tied at 3-3 until the closing minutes of the game. Jay crashed the net and took a beating while Killer controlled the puck with some fancy moves. With one minute and 43 seconds left in the game, Kyle fired the puck into the melee that Jay was creating. The Seals' defenders were so intent on beating the hell out of Jay that they forgot to play defense and the pass hit Jay's stick and went into the net for the game winning goal. Ed "The Wall" Waghorn played a fine game making 26 saves. Although Wags gave up 2 power play goals, they did kill off 5 other 2 minute minor penalties. We won the Penalty contest 7-3. The Wags players played a spirited game even though they only
had 9 players. That
may account for the 7 penalties. The game was a pleasure to watch. The
Seals were in first place when the game began. Anna, the Wags number one fan was exhausted after watching the game. She was fast asleep in the
lobby while waiting for Jay to finish his beer. e-mail me to get on the Wags E-mail list:

made a great save when he yelled, “Nice save Ed!” after Ed pulled a puck out
of the net. After hearing that, the Referee ruled no goal.
