With the Anvil out, Tweedy got the call to face the full Granato force.  Brinks had quite a supporting staff whenever he stepped on the ice.  With

son-in-law Kevin and sons Rob and Donny feeding him the puck, he had a hat trick in the first ten minutes of the game.  Harvey had a beautiful tip in for the Reds to tie the game at 1-1, Jeff followed that with a nice goal to make it 2-2, but the Whites pulled away to a 10-5 lead and coasted to an easy 12-10 win.  Donny and Kevin did their best to keep Beak's scoring streak alive, but he was a marked man.  Every pass was picked off by alert Red players.  There was one memorable event that demonstrates Duffers Hockey at its best.  Beak took his first post surgery tumble when he tried to reach a pass that changed directions.  Before he could try to get up, two opposing players rushed over to help him up.  (Beak Jr. and Fred) That gave the Reds a 4 on 3 disadvantage, that they somehow turned into a goal.  Beak's grandson Jeff scored.  There were 22 goals in the Good Friday contest and that is impossible to recount, but Donny had a nifty waist high tip in.  Kevin had many more and Art had several to get the Whites up to a dozen.  Thor scored on a pass from Donny and Hacksaw scored a meaningful goal to give the Whites a 7-1 meaningful win.  Johnny Back Hand did his best to keep the Reds in the game with 5 goals, while Brother Tom tossed in a few more to make it Whites 12, Reds 10.
We play on Good Friday, but not Bad Friday.  We do not have ice on Friday the 13th, our next game is April 20.  Our last game of the season is on May 11. Last chance to see Tim's show in Old Town.

Fred just missed scoring the 8th goal for the Reds.  Using the Bobka factor the Reds would have have won 64 to 12.

On February 15, we were blessed with our 7th grandchild.  Audrey gives us 4 Grand daughters and 3 grandsons.  Click here 

I do enjoy Baby sitting at the DuPage Children's Museum and the Fullersburg woods.

In July, Carole and I finally picked up our new 2004 Toyota Prius that we ordered last November.  The 60 miles per gallon is coming in handy as we visit my Mom after her fall and hip surgery in June.  Mom came home in September and is doing well after therapy.  See Family pictures.
