September 12, 2013, Guinness Vs. Wags Six months ago, Killer Kyle Sandowski and Jeff "Speed Racer" Lopatka had 3 goals and helped Wags to a thrilling come from behind tie with the Motorheads. That was the last time Wags Tales was published. Wags General Manager Waghorn settled the salary disputes with Jeff and Kyle and signed a couple of free agents to produce a winning combination. Eleven seconds into the game, Jay "Road Runner" DeMaria took a pass from Miller The Thriller and gave Wags a quick lead. That
lead lasted only

5 minutes until Mullet Murray tied it. Hernando Cortez gave Guinness a 2-1 lead when he exploited a crack in Waghorn's wall with 3:29 left in period one.
Speed Racer Jeff got out of the sin bin and tied the score when he stripped the puck from Cortez who tried to get out of the zone and blow past him at the Blue line. Tony the Tiger worked a give and go with Jeff to pick up the assist. Four minutes into the 2nd period, Jeff took a pass from Jay and blew a power play slap shot past the goalie to get the lead back. Five minutes later Wags took a 2 goal lead with a Killer From Miller combination. Double nickel Fawell cut the lead in half 28 seconds later, but 3 unanswered goals put the game away. Jay scored with an assist from Jeff with 4:58 left in period 2. Miller took a pass from Jeff after the opening 3rd period face off and fired it past the goalie to make it 6-3. The Road Runner picked up his Hat Trick when He one timed a beautiful pass from Kevin "Smooth as" Glass. Miller picked up his 4th point on that goal. Jay and Jeff also had 4 point nights. Wags peppered the Guinness goalie with 54 shots! Ed "The Wall" Waghorn stopped 16 shots to pick up the win. Wags 7, Guinness 3. The Wags team never met a beer that they couldn't down. Jeff's friend Miguel (Pictured above) looks a little worried because he just got talked into being a goalie for the
Duffers on Friday the 13th.. Miguel had never played goalie before, but the Duffers were desperately looking for a goalie for their Friday night game.
Their regular goalies don't like playing on Friday
the 13th. Miguel agreed to play if Jeff was not shooting at him.

That turned out to be a smart move as Jeff scored 4 goals and set up his 73 year old Grandpa that night, but Miguel lost a squeaker by the score of 12-10
