October 17, 2013, Medicine Men Vs. Wags When the puck dropped for the opening faceoff, the Wags players thought that they were in a battle with another undefeated team. Actually
General Manager/Goalie Waghorn forgot to put on his glasses when he looked at the standings and The
Medicine Men were really 4-1, not 5-0 like the Wags team. The misquote turned out to be a great motivator that had the Wags team up 6-0 in the first 10 minutes of play.
Torey "Snuffy" Snick teamed up Olindo Alo Lotion to take the lead just 35 seconds after the opening faceoff. That quick goal raised the ire of the Medicine Men so they started hooking and slashing and ended up playing shorthanded.
Alo Lotion scored an unassisted power play goal
with 10:39 left in the first

period.
16 seconds later, Mike "M&M" Miller set up Tommy Z and made it 3-0. "Snuffy" Snick added an unassisted goal a minute later and the rout was on. A few minutes later,
Snuffy set up Alo Lotion's second goal just 20 seconds before M&M scored an unassisted goal to put Wags up 6-0 with 5:11 still left to play. If this were politics, Wags would be the
projected 27-0 winner! The Medicine Men spoiled that projection when a hairy dude flew by and dented the net with 4:09 left in the period. Speedy Snick answered that goal and picked up his hat trick with an assist from TZ. The scoring didn't slow down in the second period. The Medicated Men scored to make it 7-2 just 3 minutes into period 2. In the next 2 minutes,
Killer Kyle Sandowski (assist Horny Hornsberger) and Jay "Roadrunner" DeMaria (Assist Kyle) scored to make it
9-2, The M-Men answered with 4 unanswered goals to end the period down only 9-6. The 3rd period slowed down with only 3 goals for the Wags and 2 by the M-Men.
Snick (Assist Jay), Alo (Unassisted) and Jay (assist TZ) scored and ran the score to 12-6 and the M-Men added 2 meaningless goals in the final minutes to make the
Final Score, Wags 12, Medicine Men 8. Waghorn made 18 saves while the M-Men goalie made 36. Jeff "Speed Racer" Lopatka managed to slam some bodies around without getting a penalty. Uncle Dan Lopatka fired an ice hugging pass to TZ who redirected it up and off of the crossbar and into the net, but it then came out so fast that the referee did not see it. The official scorer had the final score recorded as 13-7, but only listed 12 Wags goal scorers. The M-Men had 7 penalties and Wags only
had 4.
