Ten to Two Blowout!

November 7, 2013, McNasties Vs. Wags
The McNasties were not nasty. We had a clean game and one of their guys came over and thanked us for taking it easy on them.  He felt that we could have piled on another 5 or 6 goals.  The hardest hit of the game came from friendly fire when 2 McNasties smacked into each other.  Wags had a brief 5 on 3 while those guys got up and shook the cobwebs out.  The Ninjas were the only nasty team that we have played so far.  That was the game  that game ended in a "Donnybrook" on Halloween night when we were missing our stellar defensemen.  We will get a chance to play them again next week.  This game was over early as the Wags scored early and often.  They put 6 goals in the net in the first stanza.  Johnny "Horny" Hornsberger scored 2 minutes and 2 seconds after the opening face off.  He added 2 more to get a first period Hat Trick!  His goals were set up by Alo Lotion,

Road Runner Jay and Torey "Snuffy" Snick.  Goalie Ed Waghorn even got an assist.  The other 3 first period goals came from Hornsberger (Unassisted), Phil "Man-Oh" Manno and Jeff "Speed Racer" Lopatka who were set up by Alo, who had 3 assists in the period.  The McNasties managed to score one goal late in the period to make the score, Wags 6, McNasties 1 after one period of play.  The Wags took their foot off of the pedal in the second and only scored once when Snick set up Jay to make it 7-2 after 2 periods..  With 5:11 left in the game, Killer Kyle Sandowski took a pass from Gary "The Inhibiter" Hibbler and made it 8-2.  Two minutes later, Kevin "Smooth as" Glass  teamed up with Alo and Schultz to make it 9-2.  Schultz and Hornsberger set up Jay in the final minute to make the final score 10-2.  Wags shooters put 53 shots on net!  The McNasties goalie made 43 saves.  Ed "The Wall" Waghorn only had to make 12.
Tommy "ZZZZ" Zagorski. and Uncle Dan Lopatka  slipped into their Duffer mode where they look for old guys to pass to.  Unfortunately, Tony wasn't there so they didn't get any assists.
